Placement | June 2016
Rich and Gabriel passed their public access test together in June of 2016. The two make a perfect pair. Gabriel goes to work with Rich, they golf together, and spend every day living to the fullest.
Rich's Story
On April 16th of 2016 I was fortunate enough to have an amazing black lab named Gabriel officially placed with me. In December of 2015 he came to live with my family and I and has changed all of our lives forever. He is such an amazing dog that he can pick up on any issues that I may be having before I realize they are even a problem. Furthermore, his presence and loyalty provide me with the confidence that I need in allowing me to go to public functions that I previously wouldn't have been able to attend. I would like to thank my family, friends, RFI and anyone associated with RFI. Without all of your support my life would have never changed so drastically for the best. Thank you so much.
Gabriel's Journey
Gabriel is a black Labrador Retriever who was fostered in Lincoln, Nebraska by Carolyn Nash. He was placed as a service dog with veteran Rich Overturf in April of 2016. Gabriel assists with psychiatric mobility. Gabriel spent part of his training working with both Wartburg College and Bremwood students.
