Waterloo Community Aces and the Caesars Foundation

The Caesars Foundation is a private foundation funded by resorts owned by Caesars Entertainment.  Each property of Caesars Entertainment is allotted grant money annually to be awarded to local non-profits in their community.  The Isle in Waterloo has been a partner with Retrieving Freedom for several years and designates one month out of each year to donate their jeans day proceeds.  We had team members at the Waterloo property vote for their favorite local non-profits and Retrieving Freedom received the most team member votes.  The Waterloo ‘Community Aces Committee’ recommended to the Caesars Foundation Board that Retrieving Freedom receive a $5,000 grant and the request was unanimously approved by the board.

Waterloo Community Ace’s members Joe Decker, Sommer Stevens, and Ben Broten, along with Marketing Director Jill Mejia presented Retrieving Freedom's Resource Development Director Trent Dirks and his service dog Tracer with a check for $5,000.
