Somewhere in our kennels, a puppy is about to be given a name she will carry through two years of training, into the home of a Veteran or a child who has been waiting, and into a future that looks completely different because of it. That name will come from Realtree.

Realtree, the world's leading camouflage brand, has joined the Retrieving Freedom Business Alliance as a Platinum Sponsor. Founded by Bill Jordan in Columbus, Georgia in 1986, Realtree grew from a single hand-drawn camouflage pattern into one of the most recognized names in the outdoor industry. Family, friends, and the outdoors have been the heart of the brand from the beginning, and that ethos is what drew them to RFI.

"Retrieving Freedom's commitment to supporting Veterans and children with autism reflects the kind of mission we're proud to stand behind," said Jim McGinn, Vice President of Marketing at Realtree. He described the partnership not as a sponsorship, but as doing the right thing for the right people.

Every Service Dog placed by RFI is provided at no cost to the recipient. Each dog requires a minimum of two years of training and represents an investment of more than $50,000 before being matched with a Veteran with disabilities or a child with autism. That work is only possible because of partners who carry the cost so the families we serve never have to. As a Platinum Sponsor, Realtree receives naming rights to a puppy entering Service Dog training. The puppy's name will be announced in the months ahead.

Realtree joins a coalition of outdoor industry leaders who have made the same commitment, including Starline Brass, Federal, Hornady, Hodgdon, Purina, Big Frig, Boyt Harness Company, RuffLand, Diamond Pet Foods, Delta Waterfowl, and Dallas Safari Club. Together, these companies are building something the outdoor world has never had before: a dedicated coalition committed to placing Service Dogs with the people who need them most.

"Realtree's partnership means more Service Dogs placed, more lives changed, and further proof of how the outdoor industry shows up for those who have shown up for all of us," said Brandon Butler, CEO of Retrieving Freedom.

The Veteran or family who will one day call the Realtree puppy their partner does not yet know what is coming. But the work has already started, and Realtree is part of the reason it will finish.

Stand with the families on our waitlist. Join the Business Alliance, sponsor a stage of Service Dog training, or make a one-time gift to help place the next dog.
