Hudson and Fiji: A Perfect Partnership in Motion

ree

Retrieving Freedom is proud to celebrate a wonderful milestone—Hudson and his Service Dog, Fiji, have officially passed their Public Access Test and are now a placed team!

From the moment they met, it was clear Hudson and Fiji shared something special. The two quickly bonded over their love of watching trucks and trains—two of Hudson’s favorite things—and have become inseparable ever since. Whether exploring together or taking on everyday routines, Fiji has been by Hudson’s side, helping him stay focused, confident, and safe.

Fiji’s calm presence and training have already made a meaningful difference in Hudson’s life. Service Dogs like Fiji are carefully trained over the course of two years to meet the unique needs of their partners, providing both emotional and practical support. For children with autism, these dogs can be a source of comfort in overwhelming moments, a steady companion in public settings, and a bridge to new experiences and connections.

The success of teams like Hudson and Fiji reflects the dedication of countless people—trainers, volunteers, donors, foster families, and supporters—who make the Retrieving Freedom mission possible. Together, they help create partnerships that truly change lives.

Congratulations to Hudson and Fiji on reaching this important milestone! We can’t wait to watch their journey continue and to see all the ways this incredible team will grow together in the years ahead.
